From the Provost

thomas g. greene, ed.d. • provost and professor of education

The Community of Scholars celebrates a plethora of academic achievements—the introductory pages highlight news of the institution and that of students, alumni, and faculty, and the remaining pages celebrate the remarkable breadth and depth of the intellectual and creative enterprises by faculty. As Provost, I witness how faculty members take seriously their roles as scholarly, cultural, artistic, and spiritual resources not only for our students, but also for the city, the state, and the nation. It is this faculty dedication that ensures the University continues to fulfill its mission that is grounded in the ideals of the priests and brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross in educating students both in mind and heart. I hope you will take time to read about the various academic accomplishments during the 2017-2018 academic year. Enjoy.
