We take talented, dedicated individuals and provide them with a supportive and challenging environment in which to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Through our expert teaching staff, strong industry links and world-leading facilities, our aim is to prepare you to enter the working world or advance in employment.
FACILITIES
Our state-of-the-art facilities will enable you to practice your new skills in a safe environment, under the supervision of a qualified practitioner. Our Simulation Suite is set up to mirror a range of real life clinical environments, and our Human Performance Lab can be used by students studying a wide-range of programmes. Other facilities include the digital imaging suite with CT scanner and x-ray rooms and our purpose-built counselling suites.

You will join a vibrant community of international students at Salford and we will support you throughout your studies. Many of our staff are involved with a wide range of organisations and projects worldwide that are actively enhancing the global knowledge base and making a difference to people’s lives.

WORLD-LEADING RESEARCH
The work of our active research community is fed back directly into our teaching so that you benefit from relevant, evidence based lectures. We work with a wide range of organisations and whenever possible we involve and engage people in our research, co-producing wellbeing, delivering better health and social care and improving society. Our globally-respected researchers have made positive change at regional, national and international levels and we are also committed to supporting our local community. The school is also home to the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Centre in Prosthetics and Orthotics, which combines expertise from the University of Salford, Imperial College London, the University of Strathclyde and the University of Southampton with more than 25 global industry partners and national facilities.

When you graduate, you will be well equipped with the knowledge and expertise to start or advance your career in hospitals, care agencies, local and national health and social care charities, sports clubs and policy organisations, or to set up your own business.

We are collaboratively linked with clinical, industrial and other academic partners including the NHS and professional sports clubs such as Manchester Storm and Sale Sharks. These links allow you to access a range of practice placements in real-world settings.
