The Alcalá Bazaar takes place at the start of each semester at USD, and provides a space for students to discover the many opportunities for involvement that are available! Student organizations, university centers and departments come together to meet and greet students and share their positive experiences about getting connected. In August of 2023, our volunteers traveled to Honduras and worked in medical and dental clinics where volunteers had the opportunity to take patient vitals, shadow Honduran medical doctors, teach children’s preventative oral hygiene education lessons, and help distribute medications to community members all while experiencing mutual empowerment within the communities. @usdbrigades
