Make a Difference AS A NURSE PRACTITIONER PRECEPTOR

Dear Prospective Preceptor: Clinical experience with skillful and knowledgeable clinicians in a variety of settings is a vital part of the education of our nurse practitioners. Through community involvement, our academic education curriculum is complemented by clinical expertise. As a preceptor for the University of San Diego’s Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science, know that you will play a large part in students’ clinical learning and role development. The time and talent provided by preceptors strengthens the students’ clinical knowledge and skills. We truly hope you will consider participating as a preceptor and make an invaluable contribution to the clinical education of our future nurse practitioners. Sincerely,

Jane M. Georges, PhD, RN Dean and Professor
