YOUR TLC AND TSA In your first semester at USD, you will be part of a Transfer Learning Community (TLC). Your TLC will help you learn to integrate knowledge across your curriculum, building the skills and relationships to help you succeed. Built around the theme Engage, your TLC will ensure you have peak academic and social experiences while at USD. Your transfer scholastic assistant (TSA) serves as a liaison between you and TLC faculty. The collective TSA team collaborates closely with various departments across campus to put on programming and provide you with support and resources in your first semester.
During Transfer Fall Orientation, you will: • Prepare for academic success by connecting with the deans and faculty in your school or college. • Meet the student leaders, faculty and staff who are here to support you this semester and beyond. • Receive information about essential resources and connect with campus departments to ensure you have a great start at USD.

They are assigned to, and are responsible for, a particular TLC course. COMMUTER ASSISTANTS (CAs) CAs work in the Commuter Student Commons and help support the commuter student experience.
