Supporting Scholarships for Underrepresented USD Students

About USD Wine Classic Established in 2006, the USD Wine Classic is the Alumni Association’s signature scholarship fundraising event and has raised more than $720,000 for the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Although the event is back in a virtual space, the purpose remains the same. This year, net proceeds support scholarships for underrepresented USD students. The Alumni Association Board of Directors is grateful for your support. USD looks forward to seeing you live in-person next year!

For more information about the Alumni Association scholarship programs, go to alumni.sandiego.edu.

From the Alumni Association Dear USD Alumni and Friends, Thank you for being a part of USD’s Wine Classic! This event was created by the USD Alumni Association Board of Directors as a means to support student scholars at USD. It has turned into one of San Diego’s “can’t miss” summertime events and has generated more than $720,000 for the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund. As we return to a new normal, we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity you have shown to our students. Your support and participation in this year’s event will help us meet the financial needs of deserving students as they move through their educational journey. This year, we are honored to support scholarships for underrepresented USD students. Thank you to our sponsors, our wineries and to you. Enjoy our Virtual Toast from Coast to Coast and we look forward to seeing you in person at the 2022 USD Wine Classic! With Torero spirit, Vince Moiso ’95, P’24

President, USD Alumni Association Board of Directors

From the Co-Chairs Thank you for joining us for the 13th Annual USD Wine Classic! A Virtual Toast from Coast to Coast is back for another year and we are looking forward to a fun evening with our Torero community. We are so grateful for your participation this year as we raise scholarship funds for underrepresented students at USD. And we’re grateful for the winery partners who have helped make the Wine Classic the success it is today. We hope you’ll visit the Wine Classic Marketplace and support these wonderful friends of USD! We couldn’t do any of this without our generous sponsors, and we extend our gratitude to them as well. Last but not least, we want to thank our Wine Classic Committee members and the staff members who have been working hard to bring you this event! Thanks to everyone for helping us keep this annual tradition going – and growing! Bryce Lyon ’12, ’14 (MEd) and Annie Toth ’07
