Managing Stress

Academic Support

How did your student fare this past semester? Student success coaching is available to students who want one-on-one support to develop study skills or want a confidential space to talk about how their transition to college is going. Recharge And Plan Ahead

Spring Break allows your student a weeklong vacation to relax, recharge and have some fun. March is also the time to start looking into summer jobs and internships. The Career Development Center can help with job searches, resumes, cover letters and interview skills. Your student can make an appointment or simply walk in. Savoring Springtime

There are plenty of ways your student can enjoy springtime in San Diego. USD’s Outdoor Adventures and Campus Recreation offer a range of opportunities, such as renting a surfboard, participating in intramurals or going on a canoe trip. Visit sandiego.edu/oa and sandiego.edu/campus-recreation

During the spring, the Torero Program Board hosts the Olé Music Festival, an outdoor concert for students with food, fun and friends.

Moving On And Out

Congratulations to our graduates and to their families and supporters! As our graduates move on, our residential students need to move out 24 hours after their last final exam. Encourage your student to begin organizing items for move out. Donation bins are located throughout campus this month. USD also partners with Campus Storage for moving and storage services. Summer Explorations

Enjoy the summer and some family time with your student. Listen as they reflect on the past year, noting accomplishments and challenges and how they balanced a social life with new and old friends.
