Transfer Fall Orientation will provide you with the opportunity to: Get Informed: Find out about the history, mission, and core values that make USD a unique place.

Mother Rosalie Hill Reading Room - Located on the main floor of Copley Library, this is a silent study room open to students and the campus community during library hours.

Jenny Craig Pavilion - Home to several USD athletic teams, including men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball. It is also used for large special events.

Torero Program Board - An organization charged with coordinating student programs and events held on campus.

Transfer Transition Team - A group of continuing transfer students who support you as you transition to USD.

Student Life Pavilion - A hub of student life and dining on campus. Pavilion Dining, La Gran Terraza Restaurant, O’Toole’s Lounge, Tu Mercado and several student organization offices can be found there.

Transfer Fall Orientation focuses on your student’s holistic integration to USD and also acknowledges the reality of change for families in this time of transition. Today, session presenters convey information to understand how the resources work at USD and provide opportunities to ask questions. Carefully read each description to select the session that best meets your needs. Note: Families and guests must wear their Weekend Package wristband for admission to breakfast and lunch.

USD’s CATHOLIC IDENTITY: GARDEN, MESA, INTERSECTION Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice (IPJ), Theatre

This session will describe USD’s Catholic identity by using three metaphors which emphasize our commitment to our Catholic character, diversity and inclusion. Parents will be invited to discuss hopes they have about sending their students to a Catholic university committed to diversity. The session concludes with a reflection on our combined hopes for the students.
