FALL 2014: OCTOBER 18 – DECEMBER 13, 2014 | 8 SATURDAYS, 10 AM – 12 PM No Classes Saturday, November 29 .......................................................Thanksgiving Holiday

SPRING 2015: FEBRUARY 7 – MARCH 28, 2015 | 8 SATURDAYS, 10 AM – 12 PM COURSES Students are welcome to repeat courses. Each term will focus on a different theme and class projects will change to reflect the theme. Visual Art Studio This studio focuses on fundamental art concepts and skills in drawing, painting, collage and sculpture. 1st Grade | SLS 201 2nd Grade | SLS 202 3rd Grade | SLS 203 4th Grade | SLS 204 Drawing + Mixed Media 5th Grade | SLS 205 Using paint, ink, drawing and collage, 5th graders in this class make representational and abstract artwork. Characters + Cartoons 6th–8th Grade | SLS 209 In this class, students tell stories through cartoons, learn the basic skills of drawing people in an environment and create 3-D characters.

Painting + Printmaking 6th–8th Grade | SLS 210 This course covers both basic relief printing and acrylic painting methods while students work with a variety of subject matter, ranging from still life to figure, landscape, cityscape and abstraction. Graphic Design 7th–8th Grade | SLS 207 Students in this class learn about design by experimenting with form, space and composition. 3-D Studio Art 7th–8th Grade | SLS 211 Building 3-D work using clay and other materials, students in this class learn the basics of sculpture, construction and design.
