The University of the Arts
has a 40 year history of providing high-quality professional development that is current, practical and relevant for teachers throughout the region. The skills you learn at UArts today can be implemented in your classroom tomorrow. During ArtsWeek, teachers across all grades and content areas will work with practicing artists to explore art-specific techniques, concepts and history in order to enhance student learning. Each course provides a rich, engaging studio experience within a specific artistic discipline, designed for teachers who are interested in innovative approaches to education. ArtsWeek provides the opportunity for teachers to collaborate and create within a vibrant learning community. Through studio-based, hands-on projects, ArtsWeek provides the time and space for teachers to create new work, gain new skills to incorporate into classroom practice, and exhibit their work.
