VIETNAM TO CAMBODIA BY LUXURY RIVER BOAT FROM THE PEACEFUL WATERS OF THE MEKONG DELTA TO THE GLORY OF THE RUINS OF ANGKOR AN EXCLUSIVE JOURNEY WITH WILLIAM SHAWCROSS, CVO 10TH - 19TH FEBRUARY 2016

What makes this Escorted Journey so special? + You will travel on the Mekong River’s most luxurious riverboat on an exclusive navigation that can only be done as part of this private charter. + All excursions are taken in small groups according to interests. + Your travelling companion and Guest Speaker will be William Shawcross, who is not only utterly charming, he is also deeply passionate about South East Asia and incredibly articulate. + As ever, the attention to detail is guaranteed. Christopher Wilmot-Sitwell, cazenove+loyd’s co-owner travelled to Vietnam this year to experience the Aqua boat and to meet the guides and crew. + With our fantastic contacts in Siem Reap, we will show you Angkor Wat and beyond through the eyes of those who have dedicated their lives to understanding the history and people of Cambodia. + It doesn’t matter if you’ve been to this part of the world a hundred times; you will never have seen it like this.

The Aqua Mekong + Working closely with the Aqua team, cazenove+loyd have designed an exclusive one-off routing to take guests on a voyage through the exotic waterways of Indochina for unparalleled access. + The Aqua is extremely comfortable inside and out. Private skiffs will allow guests to explore new corners of the river away from mainstream tourism. + Our Guest Speaker, William Shawcross will be on board with his wife, Olga Polizzi throughout this four night private cruise. William will give informal lectures and will lead discussions relating to the politics and history of Vietnam and Cambodia. + The menu on board is designed by Michelin-starred chef David Thompson and the cuisine will be focused around the delicious tastes of South East Asia.

Siem Reap and Angkor Wat + Explore this extraordinary corner of Cambodia in complete privacy with the country’s best guides. + Access the mighty temple complex of Angkor Wat via a lesser known back route to see the sunrise away from other travellers. + Among the experts waiting to greet guests in Cambodia is Dr Damian Evans, who will be presenting his newest research. Dr Evans is best known for his discovery of the ‘lost city’ of Mahendraparvata in 2013, which made world headlines. + Our cultural guides in Siem Reap will bring guests to quiet, rarely visited jungle temples and ancient sites such as Angkor Thom, once the largest pre-industrial city in history. + A private villa surrounded by peaceful countryside will provide a garden setting for a truly memorable farewell dinner party.
