Should you need to speak a team member: • We run an appointment system • Appointments can be made in person at the Student Link reception or by telephone to 0141 848 3803. • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call 0141 848 3803 During appointments: • Come prepared – you may need to show your passport and visa at your appointment. For assistance with renewing a visa, bring your supporting documentation also. • You will be treated with respect and will be given clear information on what your next steps should be if appropriate. When applying for a visa: • Pick up a Visa Extension Pack from the Student Link reception. • Visa extension applications by post can take several months to finalise and you are therefore strongly advised not to book any travel tickets until your passport and biometric residence permit have been returned to you. • We will contact the Finance department for confirmation of the fees you have paid and any amounts still to be paid. • We will contact your Programme Leader to confirm that they are satisfied with your academic progress on your course and that they fully support your visa application to continue with your studies in the UK. • We will check your bank statements to ensure that you have sufficient funds for living costs to meet the UKBA’s requirements. • Our team do not have any control over how long UKBA may take to process visa applications and are unable to ‘speed up’ applications for you.
