All Inclusive Amenities
Intimate and Relaxing Experience
Unique Travel Experiences
Everything you could ever need is included with Uniworld. From your flights & transfers, all your meals and premium drinks, a host of onboard wellness opportunities plus your daily shore excursions. We have even included the on board gratuities. All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the Uniworld experience.
Compared to ocean cruising, a river cruise ship is smaller and therefore offers guests a far more intimate experience. With just an average of 120 guests on board, you can get to know your fellow travellers and also receive better access to the incredible staff on board.
By nature, cruising along rivers allows you to travel directly through the heart of countries, giving you incredible access to some of the world's greatest cities right outside your window. Due to the small sizes of our ships, we take you to the heart of your destinations and dock in the centre of town, so you can step onshore to start exploring immediately.
Sailing by river means enjoying all the conveniences of a traditional cruise, along with all the benefits of inland travel. Stopping in multiple destinations on every trip, you’ll visit bustling cities and hidden gem villages, unpacking only once. Even while onboard you’ll be immersed in the local sights, with everchanging views right outside your window. River cruising is absolutely the best way to cruise, and the best and most luxurious river cruise is with Uniworld.
Award-Winning, Floating Hotels
Money Can't Buy Experiences
Enjoy a Slower Pace of Life
One of the highlights of your river cruise is the Super Ship you sail on. You have access to your very floating hotel that you can call home for the week, with luxurious amenities, beautiful public spaces and multiple dining venues throughout.
There are moments on a Uniworld cruise designed exclusively for our guests. These range from early morning access to museums, behind the scenes access to iconic landmarks and even private after-hours events in world renowned locations, including the magnificent Saint Marks Basilica in Venice.
A river cruise is perfect for those who enjoy a slower pace of life. You will sail silently through the heart of countries, docking in the centre of cities and spend plenty of time exploring wherever you visit.

Benefits of self-drive By opting to self-drive you can travel exactly at your own pace. Fancy a few extra nights in Bordeux? You can do so incredibly easily before or after your cruise. Our onboard crew may even recommend some regions you must visit on your way home.
Ideal for wine lovers! There is a high probability you will find yourself a new favourite wine during your journey. A benefit of self-driving, why not bring some home with you? As long as you comply with import restrictions, you will pay no import tax*. What a lovely souvenir! *Always check GOV UK website before attempting to bring in any alcohol.

OFFICIALLY THE WORLD'S #1 RIVER CRUISE LINE
DAY-TO-DAY ITINERARY DAY 1: AVIGNON (EMBARK) Welcome to Avignon. As you arrive to this incredible city via train travel, you will need to transfer a short distance to the docking point to board the S.S. Catherine. (D)
DAY 2: TARASCON (ARLES) Explore a sun-drenched Provençal town today with an allure all its own. Known for its remarkable Roman ruins, Arles so inspired Van Gogh that he painted some 200 paintings there. Arles has existed since the sixth century BC, when the ancient Greeks founded it and named it Theline. It was here that the Romans built their first bridge across the Rhône River, creating a vital overland route between Italy and Spain. (B, L, D) Featured Excursion: Arles walking tour.
DAY 3: AVIGNON The walled city of Avignon is one of the most fascinating towns in southern France, with a host of historic gems to explore-including the fortress residence of rebellious popes who broke from Rome and once lived and ruled here. You’ll see the Palace of the Popes and much more today, and also have a chance to kayak under a 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct. (B, L, WD) Featured Excursions: Choice of Avignon walking tour with Palace of the Popes or Pont du Gard Roman Aqueduct visit or “Let’s Go” kayak ride on the Gardon River*. *The kayak ride on the Gardon River is only available for May through September departure dates.
DAY 4: VIVIERS An enchanting village where time seems to have stopped centuries ago, Viviers has a long and storied past that goes back more than 1,600 years-and a splendid architectural heritage to match. At one time, Viviers was divided along religious lines-the clergy lived in the upper part of the town, the laity in the lower part. Your exploration of the town will take you through both parts, as you begin at the crest and make your way to the riverbank. (B, L, D)
Featured Excursion: Intimate Viviers “Village Day.”
DAY 5: TOURNON (TAIN-L’HERMITAGE) If you love fine wine, you’ll love the twin villages of Tournon and Tainl’Hermitage. Tournon may be a small town, but stirring events took place here: A castle was raised on the hilltop in the 10th century to protect the region, and new fortifications were added over the centuries, including two “new” towers built to defend against Protestant attacks in the 16th century. (B, L, D) Featured Excursions: Choice of Tournon and Tain-l’Hermitage twin villages stroll with wine tasting or “Let’s Go” Hermitage vineyards hike with wine tasting.
DAY 6: LYON As the epicentre of French gastronomy, Lyon is a city of tantalizing contrasts. There’s much to explore here, from the work of culinary visionaries to silk weavers’ secret passageways. After your choice of excursions, embrace the locals’ favourite mode of transportation with a bike ride -a great way to see the sights. (B, L, D) Featured Excursions: Choice of Lyon capital gastronomy tour or “Let’s Go” Lyon peninsula bike tour or Silk weavers walking tour.
DAY 7: MÂCON (BEAUNE) The pace of life is decidedly more relaxed in Burgundy, where endless rows of grapes hang heavy on the vine. The capital of the region’s wine trade, Beaune is renowned for its history, beauty and highly prized wine, as well as its medieval-era hospital-the Hospices de Beaune. (B, FD) Featured Excursions: Choice of Burgundy landscapes, Beaune and the Hospices or Mâcon walking tour.
