JA’NAE SMITH
College of Arts and Sciences Psychology Major / Zeta Phi Beta sorority
With a father and a brother who graduated from UNO, campus always felt like home to Ja’Nae Smith. In Zeta Phi Beta – a Black Greek Letter sorority and one of 17 Greek organizations at UNO – she found her Maverick Family.
“My sorority has really shown me how to be selfless, that it’s not always about me,” Smith said. “It’s about continuing the legacy that came before you and making sure that continues after you.”
