Every professor I’ve had has experience in the business world and knows what they’re teaching to their students. They know how we can prepare ourselves for the future. What I like about UNOH classes is that they are small, usually 20 students or less. You can have a one-onone relationship with your professors, and your professors can really help you out in the future just by sharing with you some of their connections in an industry that you may be looking at for an internship or even a job after graduation. I feel like these kinds of opportunities coming from the professors are a really big deal. It’s a blessing that you could have those kinds of mentor relationships with your professors.

The instructors at UNOH were phenomenal. They were always there to help us, they would stay after if they needed to, would call us if we had something that we were missing, or we could call them if we just needed something. They were always just there for us. They wanted to see us succeed. There’s always a bright future in the medical field because your opportunities are unlimited. My background was as a medical assistant after graduating from UNOH. When I started here at Mercy, I was medical assistant, then I moved up to a clinical coordinator and now I’m in a management position. There’s just so many opportunities.
