New Animated Series, WORK IT OUT WOMBATS, Premieres in February

WORK IT OUT WOMBATS tells the story of a trio of marsupial siblings – Malik, Zadie and Zeke – who live with their grandmother, in their treehouse apartment complex they call the Treeborhood. The animated series for three to six-year-olds, also features other species bringing varied skills and abilities, different ways of thinking, and different family structures and traditions to the diverse neighborhood. The series introduces computational thinking concepts that will help young viewers solve relatable problems, learn flexible thinking and how to express themselves, all while using the practices and processes at the core of computer science.

The new program airs at 9:30 AM each weekday on Milwaukee PBS 10.1 and 8:00 AM on weekends on Milwaukee PBS 36.1. The program will also be broadcast on Milwaukee PBS KIDS 10.3. In addition, PBS KIDS will roll out new free online games and PBS Learning Media lessons for educators. Parents can help children play free online games at pbskids. org and educators will find free lessons at pbslearningmedia.org.
