Thismonth I want to lift the curtain on Milwaukee PBS to highlight for you some unsung heroes among our staff. For the past several weeks we have been busy carefully moving our master control switching center from Florida to Wisconsin. The advantages for this move are clear, allowing us more redundancy for our signal and allowing us to make a greater investment in Wisconsin, where we live and work. The process of switching over concluded in February. Making this possible has been our team of engineers at Milwaukee PBS who have labored diligently, yet out of view, every day for the past year to prepare for this while making sure your signal is strong morning, noon and night. On behalf of Milwaukee PBS, we say thank you and well done to these professionals. We are fortunate to have them on our team!

We also are fortunate to benefit from great content providers, like Rick Steves. Rick is synonymous with PBS and has become the authority on European travel, not just for my generation, but for the next who also rely on his books to plan culturally rich overseas adventures. As the 65th anniversary of our founding continues this year, we are pleased to present an evening with Rick Steves live in Milwaukee and I hope you will join us on March 12 at Dominican High School when he plans to share a myriad of pro tips about European travel post COVID restrictions and while a war rages on affecting Eastern European travel. Finally, we’ve crunched the numbers and can share with you that you have made us #1! Your viewership in 2022 propelled Milwaukee PBS television to the top spot of viewership among PBS stations in America. WE THANK YOU!

We need and treasure your support to allow us – not only our engineers, but all of us – to bring you our best every day. See you on March 12.
