Joshua completed his Masters in University Administration from Michigan State University (MSU) and 52 hours completed of a Ph.D. in Higher Adult Lifelong Education.

He is a proud member of Tabernacle of David Church, where he serves as deacon, associate administrator for the collegiate ministry and stage manager for the media team. He is an active member of the Kappa Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc.
