A fascinating 104 page handwritten journal written in 1768 by Dr William Cullen, MD, and titled Lectures on the Practice of Physic has been consigned into Clarke’s Auctions at Semley’s upcoming August sale. An esteemed Scottish physician, he was a Professor of Medicine at Edinburgh and President of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and published numerous textbooks including First Lines of the Practice of Physic. There will be approximately 800 lots on offer to include antique furniture, silver & jewellery, ceramics & glass, rugs, paintings and more including a good quality early 20th century Regency style three pillar dining table with two extra leaves to seat 12 people.
