The Aisle of Style Fashion Show isn’t your traditional bridal fashion show. It’s fun, hip, cutting-edge, high-energy, and inspiring. Sit back and enjoy a multi-media experience as you preview the latest fashions for brides, bridesmaids, and men’s formalwear; everything from tried-and-true famous labels to talented up-and-coming designers. The Aisle of Style is the hotspot at the show. Designed like high-fashion shows you see on TV (think Victoria’s Secret, Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model), the Aisle of Style is one of the largest and most impressive bridal fashion events in the area, complete with a120-foot catwalk! The concept brings the feel of New York Fashion Week to Minnesota. Bring a pen and your program and take notes regarding your favorite looks from Angelique’s Bridal Salon, Mestads Bridal and Formal Wear, The Wedding Shoppe, Luxe Bridal Couture, David’s Bridal and Savvi Formalwear. The fashions are conveniently numbered so you can reference your favorites after the show.

The Glam 2 Go Makeover Zone is your chance to be pampered. Get a mini-makeover from our talented team of hair and makeup artists who style the models for the high energy Aisle of Style Fashion Show. Artists are on hand to whip up a quick up-do, give you makeup tips, and answer any of your beauty questions during a mini consultation. Your private evaluation can encompass creating a plan for hair, makeup, or skincare to coordinate with your wedding day wardrobe. When you want to look your very best on your wedding day, the artists in The Glam 2 Go Makeover Zone have all the answers.

Each year, grooms are getting more involved in planning their wedding. To celebrate the men in the wedding party, we’ve created their very own space: Club Groom. Designed as a men’s lounge and club environment, this area is a place to relax, recharge, and reflect in the cocktail lounge while listening to the DJ spinning. To make the most of your day at the show, here are a few tips: Before attending, visit TheWeddingGuys.com to research which vendors will be exhibiting and preview the show floor layout to determine where each exhibitor is located. This will help you make the most of your time and better organize your day.

The Twin Cities Bridal Show offers couples the opportunity to win valuable door prizes (some worth thousands of dollars). To make registering easy, bring pre-printed stickers with your wedding date, name, full address, wedding location, email and phone number so that you don’t have to fill out numerous entry slips. If you’re lucky, you may just walk away with a new set of china, free floral arrangements, or even a honeymoon package.
Since most attendees will be attending the fashion show, vendors have more time to talk in-depth when the fashion shows are presented. If you’ve already selected your wedding dress, formalwear and bridesmaids dresses, consider taking this time to talk with the vendors you’re most interested in, when it’s a little more quiet.
If you’ve already selected your wedding colors, ask for swatches and bring them with you to the show. You can share the colors with florists, bakeries, and stationery companies so they have an understanding of your wedding day vision.
The Twin Cities Bridal Show is a great resource for information, but with so many inspiring ideas—and so many great vendors—you might forget who is who. Bring along a notebook, pen, appointment book and calendar, and a list of questions you may have. Snap photos of what you like. The best place to write notes about what you like is on the literature the vendors give you.
Reserve time after the show to go through your information and determine the next step. If you didn’t make appointments at the show, contact your favorite vendors as soon as possible. There could be others looking at the same wedding date.
If you’re going to be out of town during the show, send your mom or a trusted friend/bridesmaid to collect information and register for prizes.
Don’t just take literature from the vendors, use this time to talk to the pros. Think of it as speed dating. See if you could imagine working with them on what is sure to be one of the happiest days of your life.
Agree on a budget before attending the show and bring your checkbook or credit card along. Most vendors require a deposit upon reservation, and many will offer deep discounts for reserving their services at the show. However, don’t feel pressured. Many of these discounts will continue for awhile once the show is over.
When comparing prices and products, keep in mind that you generally get what you pay for. Don’t forget that old adage, “The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”
The wedding pros want to help you narrow down your options. So try the cake samples, smell the flowers, load up on brochures, enter contests, and leave your name with everyone. When you find the right fit, it’s a win-win for everyone.
