What Lifelong Learning Centre Students say about LLC

“Retired life has been wonderful so far, and the Lifelong Learning Centre has played a role in making it so. I love the overall experience I’ve had at the LLC, and plan to continue to attend courses there for many years to come.”

“I like science and math, so I take those type of classes. I also take the odd history class. I find that as I get older and have lived recent history, it is more interesting.” George M.

Presenter: Dr. Wolfgang von Staden Day: Jun 9 TAMING DEMOCRACY'S PERILS (97366) The great moral question of politics is how can exercises of power be made subject to moral limits. Although the idea that political powers can be curtailed through law predates the modern era of democracy (it was, for instance, the idea that animated Magna Carta) it is liberal democracies that have so enthusiastically embraced the idea of legal limits. But does law inflict its own damage on democratic states by robbing citizens of their ability to come to the best resolution of many of society's deeply important issues? And is law's reputation and legitimacy degraded through this "political" role? Presenter: Dr. John Whyte Day: Jun 16 MONEY SECRETS: WHAT WE DON'T KNOW WE DON'T KNOW! Those who withdraw less than 10 business days before the course begins, or after it has started, will be charged the full course fee, but may find a suitable substitute to take their place. Students may also switch to another course offered the same term and will only be charged for making the change if the new course has a higher course fee or a materials fee. The University of Regina reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient registration or other unforeseen events. If this occurs participants will be given the opportunity to transfer into another course or full refunds will be issued. Fee Sharing or Fee Waiving Policy Fee sharing or fee waiving is available to make it possible for members of the Seniors’ University Group to take selected LLC courses regardless of income. Information and application form are available from Student and Instructor Services Office. Accessibility Policy The Centre for Continuing Education has committed to make every possible physical accommodation in accordance with the University of Regina policy that may be required by its students and customers.
