The Project Hampshire County Council Economic Development team has commissioned Education and Business Partnerships to deliver a programme of enterprise activity in secondary schools. The programme aims to develop entrepreneurial skills in young people and to make them aware of the option of starting and running their own business as a realistic career choice. It will provide an opportunity for the young people to increase their range of transferrable skills that will lead them on to a successful future.
Your Support is Invaluable Teachers involved in the project would appreciate the real experience and knowledge that you have in running a business to help their students, who are just beginners, understand what is really involved. We are not looking for volunteers who are necessarily fully qualified or trained in a certain area. Young people learn best from those who have done it, and in our experience this produces the most successful results for both the mentee and the mentor. Innovating for the Future is a project being run in Hampshire by four Education Business Partnerships. We run a variety of activities in and out of schools and colleges that aim to link education and business to best prepare and inspire young people about the world of work.
