Wandile Mbanjwa, popularly known as August Tenn, (born August 11, 1996) is a South African rapper, record producer, song writer and composer. He not only does music, his abilities go as far as drawing, digital art and even editing music videos. August Tenn is from Soweto, a township south-west of Johannesburg. He used to be signed to a record label (Run Way Entertainment) in 2016 which he had left later on in the year because of in differences, and has been doing music independently since then. In 2018, August Tenn (Who was then known as Krei before changing his alias) dropped a 5 song EP, titled "Animal EP" which features artists such as Boyzie, M PaQ and The Dock, and entirely produced by himself. His sound and brand is influenced by the artists Tory Lanez, Travis Scott, Drake and Bryson Tiller. August Tenn has performed on various stages which feature big names in the industry such as The Re-Up Party, where he opened up for Okmalumkoolkat; Gin and Juice; Ghandi Square Chesa Nyama and Music & Fashion in Pretoria. In 2019, "Krei" Changed his alias to August Tenn as he thought it was a less common and more earfriendly sounding name. In February that year, he released a song titled 'Bye Now' which features Saint Da Sinner and M PaQ. Through out the year of 2019, August has been in and out of the studio creating as much content as he could so that he could find a sound suitable for him as a brand and connect with his listeners. In 2020, August Tenn has been becoming a growing brand since he had dropped his first single for the year titled 'Right Now', which now has a gradual increase in an audience outside of South Africa.
