INTERVIEW
So how do you describe yourself?
I' m an attractive charming, bubbly personality, outgoing, go-getter and friendly, ambitious fashion model, video vixen and brand ambassador for Mgunda.
What inspired you to become a model?
Having a good sense of style with a positive attitude and ability to look good at all times and outstanding facial projection, with a confident posture.
What challenges have you encountered in your career as a model/vixen?
Unstable income and you get to meet with the vultures in this modelling industry who wants to use your body sexually in order to get what you want.
What is your biggest dream in your life and career?
My biggest dream is to have my own modelling agency where I can teach and encourage girls or women to express themselves without having to worry about making sure they appear normal within a society, set moral standards and learn to be comfortable in one’s own skin as well as the beauty within.
I really hope that you remain this driven and find means to put your vision into reality as it will make a great contribution in making our country a better place. Who is the one person that has made an impact in your life and how have they done so?
My mom as a single parent… She taught me to work hard, aim high and nurtured me to be this strong woman that I am today. She also told me that no matter how hard life gets I must kneel down to God and pray for strength and wisdom.
What has been your greatest achievement in your career?
My greatest achievement in my career has been reaching the level of modelling I’m at with skills, professionalism and getting to work with the biggest fashion shows like Kwa-Thema fashion which isnow called Ekasi Fashion, Fashion Kapitol and Savage Fashion Rebels and other local designers. And as a vixen I worked with Dokotela Mkhenza and other upcoming unsigned artists.
Do you mean being able to be featured in paying fashion shows that get covered in big media publications as it boosts your esteem as a model and gives you courage and motivates you to see your dreams coming closer?
Yes it does… And I hope and pray that one day I will take part on that highly paying fashion business with big media publication. I want to be a supermodel and I looked up to Naomi Campbell when I was growing up and I' m not going to give up because I’m certain I was born for this… I' m going work it through until I achieve that.
So being a supermodel is another big dream you have besides developing young models in an entrepreneurial or philanthropic manner?
Yes it is my big dream… As you know you have to start somewhere before being a super model and it' s my determination to do something great for myself at all the time.
