Interview with our Grand Finale winner: Portia Uzile Makhubela

Who is Portia? Portia Uzile Makhubela Is A young and vibrant model from Nkomazi. She was born on the 30th Of March 1996 and raised from a small village called Langeloop [Nkomazi] but currently she stays at Pretoria West doing her Diploma in Tourism Management and Modeling Part Time. Her Motto Is “Through Hard Working And Consistence, Everything Is Possible”

Who or what inspired you to be a model? No one inspired me to be a model, I think the love and passion I have for modeling it’s what inspired me to be a Model

You have a very slim body how do you keep it so slim? Lol, what a nice question Well, I am naturally slim. I don’t do workouts or eat healthy food but I am like this, I wouldn’t lie..� �

You won our cover model competition last year, as one of our winners would you say the competition brought you more followers and opportunities? Yes, it brought me a lot of opportunities because after winning this competition a lot of brands and fashion designers asked to work with me, through that they pay me. Some ask me to promote their things. So I can basically say wining the competition really exposed me to a lot of opportunities

You also won our Grand finally cover girl competition which was for all our winners last year, you will be coming to claim your prizes in February, do you feel the prizes are enough for a grand finale winner or would you have liked to get more? If you would have liked to get more what would you like to get? I personally don’t think the prices are enough for a person who won the grand finale. Well I think cash prices and gifts should be included � � . A sash and crown is not enough..

Please tell us everything you did it terms of modeling in 2019? I did so much promotional works, which includes shoots, marketing events, I’ve trained few kids who had Pageants competition in December that’s when I decided to have my own classes were I can train whoever who wants to Join Modeling.

What are your plans for 2020? It Is To Open My Own Modeling Agency And Have My Own Models..

Looking at how long you have been a model can you predict how long it would take you to be a well-paid model that only makes a living through modeling? I can say this 2020 I’ll be a well-paid model and make a living through modeling
