Fish Year-round

With three large inland lakes in Roscommon County to choose from, anglers have access to many species of fish.

At Houghton Lake you will find Walleye, Northern Pike, bass and Bluegill among others. There are five access sites strategically located around the lake.

Higgins Lake features easy access to catch Lake Trout, bass, Pike, Yellow Perch, Rainbow Trout and more.

Lake St. Helen is renowned for its panfish. Bluegill and Crappie in the 8-9-inch range are common. You can also find bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye present.

The AuSable River is famous for its world-class fly-fishing for trout.
