The thermal memory system that never forgets to stay secure PE-Xa installation for plumbing and heating installation The Uponor PE -Xa pipes are ideally suited for flexible installation tasks both for plumbing systems and for heating system installations. Connections can be made with conventional T- piece installation as well as with the fast manifold installation. The high-pressure-linked polyethylene pipes (PE-Xa) are available in coils and straight lengths, both as a noninsulated version and in a protective tube. More than 4 billion metres of Uponor Combi PE-Xa pipes provide the world with fresh drinking water and a pleasant indoor climate.

Uponor Q&E – the smart jointing technology Uponor Q&E Combi PEX pipes have a thermal memory, the so-called ‘memory effect’. This results in a strong resilience that we use specifically for the Q&E connection technology. When a Uponor Combi PE-Xa pipe is expanded with a suitable tool, it strives to return within a short time back into its original form. We make use of this characteristic in the Q&E connection technology. The pipe material serves as the seal material. The Q&E Combi PEX pipe connects with the Q&E fitting. Jointing itself is very fast. A 100% reliable connection between the fitting and the pipe is produced without making use of O-rings. Elaborate work such as welding or soldering is a thing of the past.

Cut the pipe edge vertically.

Expand the pipe end. To ensure a uniform expansion, the expander rotates according to the integrated auto rotate function.

Push the expanded pipe end on quickly until it stops on the fitting stop end. Hold until the pipe shrinks back. Ready!
