Letter from Upper New York Conference Lay Leader
1 Letter from Upper New York Conference Lay Leader - 2 3 Hello to all my fellow disciples in Christ, 4 5 May the grace and peace of God be with you as we prepare to gather for the Thirteenth Session of the 6 Upper New York (UNY) Annual Conference. 7 8 This is a time of hope and renewal. As disciples of Christ, we have the hope and joy of knowing the risen 9 Savior. And we have the renewal, the breath of life, that the Holy Spirit breathes down on us. 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 We are coming into a new time. We have come through the obstacles of doing God’s work in Christ’s name in new ways. We have used technology in the way to keep relationships alive with other followers. We have also, as faithful people, found ways to continue to help the marginalized. The people of UNY stepped out of comfort zones in 2021 to live out the mission faithfully, compassionately, and resiliently of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Praise God!! Even when things may look dark in our world, God is alive and at work around us.
18 19 20 21 While we are not meeting face to face for the Thirteenth Session of the Upper New York Annual Conference, I am excited to get with together, to do the work we as followers of Christ are called to do. Please be patient with any of the protocols in place for Holy Conferencing.
22 23 24 I look forward to being with you all in October 2022.
25 26 27 28 In Christ, Jessica White
