Hello George HOW ARE YOU? This is a normal greeting in the UK. The Health watch team uses this question in a new way, to really find some relevant answers towards making a change. We are looking for true keys to open mental doors. WHY is not the best question to ask? Because why is just the excuse to do it. HOW? To regain freedom is the better question. This type of person is a non drinker normally. He may give in to bouts of drinking under peer pressure but these are intermittent episodes.

Type 2:

In this person, alcohol will stop any feelings of anxiety or nerves. In the younger person this mind-body chemistry will give a special energy and feeling of an invincible power from drinking. Quantities of alcohol can be consumed without any apparent effect. This biochemical type can party into the early morning hours. Sex drive is strong, compulsive with alcohol an energizing fuel. It will take quite a time of heavy drinking before symptoms of mind-body abuse happen. As years of drinking alcohol in quantity take place, gradually hangovers will start, where before they never did. The stimulation of the alcohol will cause the natural opiates 単endorphins in the body - to be inhibited. This causes nasty things to take place. Depression will happen and this will be relieved only by more alcohol. Maybe the liver will be the first to show symptoms. The face will have blood vessels more apparent. The heart will jump and race for no apparent reason. A long life is not in a book upstairs until a long break is activated.

Type 4 Has an essential fatty acid deficiency where this biological condition is combined with feelings of depression alcohol will be used. It will cause an immediate relief from depression. The depression returns when drinking stops. This dependence situation may start from early adolescence. A tolerance for alcohol either increases over years of drinking or causes severe mind-body damage from a lack of tolerance. K was a successful solicitor but became increasingly aware that he could not stop drinking wine and spirits. He started in adolescence at university finding that he could drink anyone under the table. Staying late at parties, seldom suffering hangovers. He loved the stuff. Gradually he found that the continual heavy loads of alcohol taken through the working day and leisure evenings began to have an effect. The good feeling of his youth was not happening any more. He just needed to drink to feel normal. Then he found that to his horror he could not stop drinking. He had to have a drink. That is when he came to health watch. We assessed him to have that nasty liver enzyme.We taught him how to reduce the volume and advised how best to regain and maintain his mind-body back to a healthy state. What you are about to carry out is very simple but not easy. Not easy because the mind as Eastern people say is “Like a mad bull wanting to charge off somewhere else.” Understand fully what you are going to do. Follow 1 -5 in the text and graphics. I cannot seem to get pictures in my head. Will it work for me? I cannot seem to get pictures in my head. Will it work for me? People who have a strong auditory system tend to panic when pictures seem impossible. Those with a visual sense are a little hard of hearing inside. The answer is to concentrate on the sense that you lack. If pictures are hard to bring into memory, pretend they are there for you. If sounds are faint listen more and pretend you can hear. That will work. In fact, it cannot fail.

I get put off so easily. My mind wanders off before I can finish, how can I concentrate? Think of your work your leisure here there will be some action that compels you to concentrate. Put these in your mind then use these strategies. a) Imagine that you are starting a task where you have always been able to concentrate, go to the place and pretend that you are about to start. Switch the mind to here and now as you start up. b) Treat the self-therapy as a plodding job that must be done, say as a tax return.Then plod through it but following carefully the 1-5 directions. No cheating by leaving something out, it is not a tax return!

THE TREATMENT This treatment starts with an awareness of breathing. Begin a deep breathing programme, and lift eyes to look upwards. A mind link is needed in this preparation. A mind link tells the mind to move into a pattern of behaviour. N.L.P. calls them anchors; an anchor holds a boat back. Mind links happen all the time. Listening to a voice tone changing. Seeing a change of expression on a face. The touch of a loved one at a special moment. These ‘anchors’ can set up a new pattern of behaviour. They can be a trigger- a switch (read ‘Handle on the mind) A trigger, to new behaviour–think of when irrational tears or anger comes on suddenly. It is an unconscious trigger. This ability of the mind to make instant changes is really great when they are under your own control. You are going to take full advantage in a way that never fails. You will use this now to make the change required. Putting in a mind link to lead to a new path of behaviour. In preparing the ‘link’ the senses are in use. Senses are one-and-the-same as thought.

Here in a circle of excellence, we shall grasp a handle on the mind. We will control the working of the brain. It is rather like clicking into an URL link to a new web page. Now you can start to be creative or follow the lead of others.We begin to fashion a new strong link.

This method many of my patients have used with success. Use the nail of the thumb to press into the first finger. This is easy, un-noticed. Fragile fingernails aren’t a problem.The lightest touch against the skin is enough.

Now, we are a) taking deep breaths b) raising the eyes c) pressing the thumbnail into the 1st. finger. Use of the senses will help balance in any situation. By the way, this will take a micro second of time only.

Mind linking, happy memory in place. Once you have mastered all the components, keeping the sense of pride and confidence at its strongest inside, move your feet or actually step out side of the circle. Keep in mind strongly that the confidence is left there inside the circle. (I know it sounds daft, but trust me)

Next we are going to see how well this will work for you before any event takes place. A sort of dress rehearsal.

Take the mind to a time in the future when you might need the circle of excellence. Really be at the scene, just before the action starts up. This could be getting nervous, scared, angry, depressed, irritated, tongue-tied whatever.

If it is an exam, see the room, see the desks. If it is a person that needs confronting, look at the person’s face, hear the voice if it is a public speaking event, be on that platform. Sex three times a week burns lots of calories, and if maintained throughout the year, is equivalent to jogging 75 miles. Now, there's enough evidence to suggest that sex helps keep us healthy, and thus increases longevity. According to researchers, having intimate sex means that you are less stressed, happier and better rested - all factors that can lower blood pressure and protect against stroke and heart disease. A study published in the April 2004 in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found that “high ejaculation frequency was related to decreased risk of total prostate cancer.� People who own pets, especially dogs, have also been shown to be less stressed and thus require fewer visits to their physicians than non-owners. Survival rates for heart-attack victims who had a pet have been shown to be 12% longer than for those who did not have one. Pet owners have also been shown to have lower blood pressure. The reasons are most likely related to an array of psychological factors, such as the facts that owning a pet decreases loneliness and depression, encourages laughter and nurturing, thus decreasing stress, and also stimulates exercise. To say that smoking is bad for your health is, of course, not revelatory. But it still cannot be denied that quitting smoking can significantly improve your prospects of living a longer life. Middle-aged men who are long-term, heavy smokers face twice the risk of developing more aggressive forms of prostate cancer than men who have never smoked, according to findings that appeared in the July 2003 issue of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention. According to Dr. Woodson Merrell of Beth Israel Hospital in New York City, the most powerful healing tool for stress and prolonged life is meditation. It clears the mind of thought and allows a person to concentrate on tranquility. Fifteen minutes of meditation has shown to produce a much more relaxed state of mind than one hour of the deepest sleep. Even starting the day with just two minutes of meditation can be beneficial. Sit with your spine erect and try to quiet your thoughts; it may help to concentrate on one word. Here's a reason not to hit the snooze button anymore: Sleeping too much can reduce life expectancy, according to a February 2002 study in the Archives of General Psychiatry.
