Kids in the kitchen Fruit Candies 1. Measure out 1 cup each of three or four different kinds of dried fruit such as raisins, apricots, dates,
or prunes. (Make sure there are no pits or seeds in them.) 2. Measure out 1/2 cup of nuts—any kind you like. 3. Zest 1 orange. 4. Put dried fruit, nuts, orange zest and 1 teaspoon ground ginger in food processor and mix until well
blended. Dump mixture into a big bowl. 5. Shape mixture into little balls. 6. Roll balls in grated coconut or dip in melted chocolate. Place chocolate dipped balls on waxed paper
Keep candies in the refrigerator. Makes about 4 dozen.
