FINDING RIPTIDE Hi, everybody! If you’re looking for me this week, you might want to know that I’m now planning my schedule around when Mr. Ironsides will be swooping in to serve waffle sandwiches! I wish Ironsides Waffles was available every day. I am still so excited about the food truck! Of course, if it were available every day, I don’t know when I’d have time (or room!) to follow up on all the other opportunities to eat delicious food on campus. So let’s talk about those opportunities! We should never let a chance to explore delicious food pass us by! This week, some of my favorite Bruff chefs will be at Wellness Wednesday in Pocket Park outside of the LBC building. They’re sampling menu items from Peak Performance Plus. See, Peak Performance is one of everyone’s favorite stations at Bruff, designed for fueling the hard-working, hard-playing lives that athletes, students, and performers live. And Peak Performance Plus makes sure that the complete meals are there for vegetarians, too. I can’t wait to share the veggie options with my friends! Wellness Wednesday is September 24th from 11 AM to 1 PM, so make sure you drop by to sample meatless goodness!
The next day, Thursday, September 25th, is the first Gourmet Grill of the year! I’m so excited to get back to this Tulane tradition that I’m flapping my wings in that direction already! I’m trying to decide what I should order. There’ll be a Build Your Own Burger option, a Grilled Bratwurst Sandwich on a hoagie roll with Creole mustard and aioli, and a vegetarian Grilled Eggplant Sandwich on marbled rye with fresh mozzarella and red peppers. They all sound so good! Whatever you’re going with in terms of sandwiches, come find me during the events and we can share some lunch. I’ll tell you all about my study of tasty dishes! Love, Riptide
