Upward Stars exists to do just that. They seek to build young athletes into great people, not just great players. They look not just for shortterm success but long-term development of young athletes. Upward Stars develops the total athlete Established in 1995, Upward Sports is the world’s largest Christian youth sports provider. The performance level of Upward Sports was established in 2012 and is know as Upward Stars. Upward Stars provides opportunities for young athletes to further develop their athletic skills and participate in a higher level of competition. Upward Stars programs are for young athletes ages 8-18 that have the drive and intensity to perform at a high level of competition. Upward Stars programs are led by Certified Leaders in over 40 cities across the country. Upward Stars is the only organization to offer the 360 Progression™. The 360 Progression is the development of the total athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially, applied intentionally through all Upward Sports programming. Experienced coaches guide players through three stages of athletic growth: game discovery, skill development, and peak performance - while using the teachings of Christ to foster positive sportsmanship and character.

Upward Stars programs offer a unique format that aid in developing the needs of each athlete regardless of experience. We recognize that each athlete has individual skills and needs, so we place priority on meeting each athlete where they are and helping them reach their potential. We take time to focus on long-term development which means encouraging players to try new things, learn by experience, and focus on being a well-rounded athlete. Upward Stars programs increase in intensity with each athlete as they improve; enhancing their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual development. Athletes receive evaluations on their current skill level with clear direction on how to improve.
Upward Stars has three programs that give young athletes the opportunity to play basketball beyond a recreational level.
We believe that playing sports should be a life-changing experience that prepares athletes for success on and off the court.
Developmental Developmental Programs include several opportunities designed for players of all skill levels and experience. The Technical Developmental Program features a Fundamental Skills Academy, the Position Specific Skills Academy teaches more experienced athletes specific techniques that apply to the position they play and the Tactical Developmental Program features a 3v3 plan that immerses athletes in game scenarios to teach them tactical concepts. Camps Upward Stars Camps include an Individual and Team Camp option. The Individual Camp focuses on individual skill development with a high emphasis on repetition and improving sport-specific technique. A Team Camp focuses on tactical improvement and group exercises that will help teams prepare for their club or school season. Travel teams

Travel teams require a higher level of commitment and skill and are recommended for athletes who have played on school teams, other travel teams, or participated and excelled in an Upward Stars Developmental Program. Travel programs give young athletes the opportunity to play at a high level of competition against other local, regional, and national teams.
