Greetings from the Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort. For the majority of people that come to stay here for their holiday, the vacation is usually something that they have been looking forward to with excitement as they count down the months, weeks and days. The holiday often signifies a reward for all the hard work and effort that has been put in over the last year and so when guests arrive, there is usually a sense of relief - a time to relax, unwind, reflect and let go. There are so many special aspects of a vacation at our resort that help people to rediscover themselves. The DFiT Fitness Club and the Fitness and Wellness retreats play a significant role in this process, helping to bring balance to a vacation so that when people move on or return home, they feel healthier and revitalized.

About Us

Dusit Thani Krabi is set among forty acres of lush, immaculately manicured gardens with direct access to 1.8 km of exquisite white sand beach. The perfect retreat for couples, families and those on business travel, the resort is just a one hour flight away from Bangkok. Spacious and comfortable, all guest rooms feature modern amenities and a private balcony in a Thai contemporary design. 7

the stunning sunsets for which the area is renowned. Two inviting, salt-chlorinated, infinity pools, both with direct beach access, seemingly stretch to the ocean beyond and offer cool respite from the tropical sun. With refreshments available from the nearby bars all day long, the pools are definitely a special place to be.


DFiT is a contemporary, naturally lit, indoor and outdoor fitness environment designed for simplicity and efficiency. It includes a large selection of free weights and state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment, as well as offering an extensive range of fitness and wellbeing classes. Thailand’s national sport, Muay Thai, is a martial art that provides a superb workout for the body and

mind. Our full-size, professional standard Muay Thai Ring, located in the resort’s DFiT Club, is constructed from top quality materials and is the perfect place to learn or practice Muay Thai skills. Dusit Thani Krabi offers modern full-size tennis and badminton courts, designed to professional standards, for our guests’ use. Rackets can be hired and tennis balls and badminton shuttles

purchased at the DFiT shop and, if you are on your own, we can rustle up a playing partner for you! At DFiT we offer separate male and female Sauna and Steam rooms with excellent hygiene standards. There are many benefits from using these rooms, from cleansing skin and improving circulation to recovery from workouts and reducing cortisol levels, which can help to de-stress the body. Paul Reynolds - Fitness & Wellness Manager Paul is a fully qualified, REP’s Level 4 Personal Trainer, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Studies combined with Health. Paul oversees all aspects of the “Fitness & Wellness Retreats” at Dusit Thani Krabi. Rachit Pislae-ngam - Senior Fitness & Wellness Trainer Khun Rachit has a Bachelors degree in Sports Science and 15 years’ experience in the Fitness and Wellness industry. He is also a qualified Hatha Yoga instructor. Weerasak Onkaew - Fitness & Wellness Trainer Khun Weerasak is a former Lumpini Muay Thai Champion with a record of over 300 fights and 246 wins. He is our Head Trainer for the Muay Thai program and also conducts personal and group training. Arun Usma - Personal Trainer Khu Arun is an all-round sports player with a degree in Sports Science and a Muay Thai Coaching Certificate. Arun conducts Personal Training and Group Exercise classes. Saratsawadee Phisuk - Fitness & Wellness Coordinator Khun Dew has been in the tourism and hospitality industry for over 10 years and has a wealth of experience in helping guests on their holidays to ensure a smooth stay. She is passionate about fitness and is here to help coordinate your journey through our Fitness & Wellness retreats.

Good nutrition plays an essential part in how we look, feel and perform in our daily lives. For this reason, the food that is provided in the restaurants at Dusit Thani Krabi is whole, fresh and natural. All of the restaurant menu’s also provide the nutritional information for each dish. Furthermore, the DFiT Bar offers 100% freshly pressed fruit juices, vegetable juices, protein shakes and healthy snacks. As a part of an initial consultation, dietary and consumption habits are covered to analyze behaviors and routines and to identify any areas for modification. Guidelines are also given on the number of calories to be consumed in order to maintain a specific weight and physique.

Here at DFiT, we provide Personal Training services that can help you work towards achieving your fitness goals. Whether you are continuing on your health and fitness journey, or just starting off, we can design a tailor made program specific to your needs. Our trainers will take you through your new routine, show you how to do the exercise techniques and give you the feedback that you need so that you have the knowledge and confidence to return home and continue your plan. Muay Thai

Muay Thai is Thailand’s very own ancient Martial Art, also known

as “The Art of Eight Limbs” due to its use of punches, kicks, knees and elbows. Whilst being a devastating martial art, it is also an amazing workout for mind, body and soul. Muay Thai is a massive cardio workout and quick route to full body conditioning. As well as the numerous physical benefits, Muay Thai also helps to improve the psychological self. Mental toughness, multi-skill acquisition and improved co-ordination all help to keep the mind sharp and give participants that Zen-like focus.

Yoga & Tai Chi

Sunset Yoga Come and join us practice Hatha Yoga whilst the sun slowly moves towards the ocean! This mild paced Yoga class will take you through various poses and postures whilst including the basics of breathing exercises and simple meditation. Yoga is a low impact activity that has been shown through research to strengthen and tone muscles, improve flexibility, reduce stress and have a positive effect on mood and self-esteem.

Private Yoga Sessions Would you like a more personalized session to suit your needs and ability? Would you like to practice Yoga at a time and location that suits you? Walking barefoot on the beach can be a great therapy as you listen to the ocean kiss the shore, breath in the sea breeze and feel the sand between your toes. Besides all the usual benefits that walking brings, walking on sand takes up 20 - 50% more energy than walking on hard surfaces. It also massages the soles of your feet, activating venous and lymphatic circulation whilst exfoliating the skin. Make the most of Klong Muong Beach and let the Andaman grab your senses with this breathtaking start to the day!

If you want to improve your cardio and get a great lower limb workout at the same time, then Beach Group Running is the perfect activity! Running on sand has been proven to be 60% more difficult than running on pavement. It is also great for improving strength and stabilization in the legs, hips, core abdominal muscles and lower back whilst minimizing impact on joints. Aqua HIIT

If you are looking to exercise and stay cool in the tropical heat of Krabi, then Aqua Fit is the session for you! This group involves using the resistance of the water, which is 12-14% more intense than air, to get a complete 360° full body workout. Aquatic exercise is a low impact activity that relieves 90% of your body weight, putting less stress on the bones, joints and tendons, making it ideal for individuals who are overweight or recovering from injury. So why not jump in, get fit and have some fun!

Bodyweight Boot Camp

If you are looking for a calorie burning, muscle toning workout then Body Shape Up is the group for you. This session will involve aerobic movements and routines combined with bodyweight exercises focusing on specific areas including legs, glutes, arms and core abdominal muscles. Come and join us as we guide you through this complete body shaping experience!

Do you want to train like a Marine? Boot camp is an intense session that will involve bodyweight exercises and functional movement patterns designed to increase muscle strength / endurance, cardio fitness and mental toughness. Each exercise will be conducted as a group and will involve not only typical calisthenics but also rolling, crawling and maneuvering across the floor as well as some form of running.

Circuit Training Circuit Training is a form of exercise that works to increase muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination. There are usually around 8 - 10 stations each consisting of a different exercise targeting one of the components of fitness and using a variety of equipment. There will usually be 1 - 2 people per station and each station will last anywhere between 30 - 90 seconds followed by a 15 - 30 second rest before proceeding to the next station. After one full circuit is complete, participants can rest for 1 - 3 minutes before proceeding onto another round of the circuit. This is an intense, fast-paced workout that gets the heart pumping, blood flowing and calories burning! 23
