I thought I had nothing to say, both in memory and experience. It turns out, it doesn’t matter what I say, as long as I start something. We, as characters in anonymous stories, are continually segregated into single entities through our designed spaces. This influence, governs our ability to observe, listen and acknowledge the experiences of others by sharing in collective expression with them.
I will challenge what I perceive these conventions to be.

1. PROJECT OVERVIEW
THE EVIDENCE OF APPROPRIATION AND TREATMENT OF VACANT SPACE WAS EVIDENT WHEN OBSERVING THE WAY BUS RANKS WORKED AT ZOOILOGISCHER GARTEN BAHNHOF. THE CONCRETE PAVILION, VOID OF SEATING, ENCOURAGING MOVEMENT AND FLOW, REPELLED STAGNANT AND STATIONARY BODIES WITHIN THE SPACE. OUR USE OF THE KERB AS SEATING ENCOURAGED OTHERS TO DO SO, EVEN TO THE POINT OF DISCUSSIONS BEING SPRUNG AS A RESULT OF THE TRIGGERING OF THE SPACE IN A QUICK AND CONVENIENT WAY.
WISMAR GROUP DANCE INTERVENTION
THE ‘TALE OF THE BAHNHOF’ IS ONE OF SENSORY EXPLORATION AND UNLOCKING CODED SPACE AND EXPERIENCES. WE CHOSE TO EXHIBIT THE JOURNEY IN THE FORM OF A FAIRYTALE ALLOWING PEOPLE TO ENGAGE PASSIVELY WITH THE STORY IN ITSELF OR ACTIVELY CREATE THEIR OWN IMAGINATIVE SCENARIOS AND VISUALISATION THROUGH THEIR SINGULAR INTERPRETATION OF THE DESCRIBED SPACES IF DESIRED. IMAGERY IS ABSTRACTED AS TO NOT DETRACT FROM THE EMOTIVE LANGUAGE WE TRIED TO WEAVE AND CRAFT THE JOURNEY WITH, HOWEVER EACH ‘PAUSE’ OR COLOURED STAIN IS REPRESENTATIVE OF SENSORY STIMULI WE COLLECTIVELY ENGAGED WITH THROUGHOUT THE EXPERIENCE AND THE FORM ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF OUR PERCEIVED MOST PROMINENT ENCOUNTER FOR EACH PAGE. THE REAR CARD IS OUR EXPERIENCE CONTOUR MAPS OVERLAID ON THE CITY OF WISMAR. THIS INVOLVED BLINDLY RECOUNTING OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCES AND STRONGEST STIMULI WHILE MAPPING THIS THROUGH LINE-WORK AND EYES CLOSED. THESE ELEMENTS ARE OVERLAID TO TO REPRESENT THE DIFFERING NUANCES THAT CAN BE OBSERVED EVEN WITH A CONTROLLED COLLECTIVE AS OUR OWN.

BAHNHOF: THE CONCEPT WAS TO MAP HOW VOICE WILL TRAVEL THROUGH THE SPACE, TRIGGER PASSERS SUSPICION AND ENCOURAGE ENGAGEMENT IN THE SPACE THAT THEY BRIEFLY INHABIT AND OCCUPY. MY MANIFESTO STATES THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE COLLECTIVE TALE OF THE BAHNHOF ZINE COVER
