Since 2010, Urban Light has been helping boys walk away from a life of abuse and exploitation in the red light districts of Chiang Mai, towards a future of freedom and hope. Our work is at a critical stage. Boys are finding jobs outside of the boy bars and keeping them. Boys are entering and thriving in the UL Transitional Housing Program. Boys are growing in confidence and self-esteem and are acquiring life skills that give them an opportunity to chart a new course for their lives. Here is a snap shot of the tremendous success we have had in 2012 transforming and empowering lives! We hope you will walk with us in 2013 as we continue to make epic strides! Thank You!

Boys Testimonials
Boys Testimonials My Name is Tan, I’m 17 years old. I was born in a small village in Northern Thailand. I came to Chiang Mai because my brothers were both in Chiang Mai. I ended up working in the red light district with other teen boys from my village. These bars are where foreign men come to meet teen boys for sex. I have been coming to Urban Light for 2 years. I’m much happier when I’m at Urban Light, there I have friends, I have classes and get to learn a lot of things about life. Urban Light gives me things that are good for me and always help me.
