About Global 24hr Sketchwalk USk Celebrated 10th Anniversary with 24hr Global Sketchwalk On Saturday 11th November 2017, USk chapters from around the globe held sketchwalks in their cities to celebrate 10yrs of Urban Sketchers. Using GMT time, sketchers followed the sketchwalks on the USk Instagram account starting with the first chapter to see daylight (Auckland, New Zealand) to the last chapter to see the sunset (Oâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ahu, USA). Photos and videos from each chapter were shared on the official Usk Instagram account, throughout the day. Please look for this hashtag: #USkGlobal24hrSketchwalk. In Dubai we held the sketchwalk from 6.30 am till 6.30 pm, culminating in the Masterclass by Shanqoo at Al Serkal Avenue, Al Quoze. Sketches in this dossier have been done by the members of Urban Sketchers Dubai throughout the day on 11th November and shared through Whatsapp, Gmail and Instagram.

About Urban Sketchers Dubai Urban Sketchers Dubai was founded in January 2015 by Shanqoo. Starting with 12 sketchers in a park, currently it has more than 250 members. The group has visited more than 140 locations in Dubai and has posted more than 5000 sketches on their Facebook page. USD has held two (2) annual exhibitions and has contributed actively to the creative spaces of Sikka Art Festival 2017 and2016, Dubai Design Week 2017 and 2016, Design Lane Al Serkal Avenue and other prestigious art events in Dubai.

Look Twice Draw Once Sketching master class by Shanqoo at Design Lane 1, Al Quoze was organized as a special tribute to the completion of 10 years of Urban Sketchers, the international group. The workshop was attended by many sketching enthusiasts, students and design professionals. â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;Look twice draw onceâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; is a simple and one line tenet to master the skill of sketching on location. Shanqoo gave demonstrations of how the space and activity in the Design Lane 1 can be captured at different scales. The workshop was followed by a sharing session with more than 30 sketches.
