An exciting and creative week programme will take place. We will open a large group exhibition of thirty prominent international artists, large scale mural paintings, a public participatory audio-visual installation and a varied set of side events like the Kosmopolis Art Academy, art & history city tours, a podium discussion and an art market, to name a few. This exhibition will host an eclectic selection of the most renowned urban artists from port cities in Europe and Australia. This includes our good friends and partners from the Parisian collective MAC Crew, Vans the Omega from Australia and Amsterdam’s Hugo “DHM” Mulder among many, many others. “This KAT will leave behind landmarks in the form of art such as the Golden Age reminiscent and largest pictorial mural in Amsterdam.”

In cooperation with the Amsterdam Scheepvaart Museum, the mural will be part of their educational program and used as a tool to attract a diverse type of audiences. This large mural will be a live demonstration of a variety of skills, technics and styles to be viewed by the public throughout the painting process.

The Academy offers tailored courses to interested participants of all ages (beginners and intermediate). Some of these courses will have a participation fee and others will be offered for free in cooperation with local high schools in multicultural neighbourhoods.
27.6.2013 art & culture expert presentation & podium discussion
expert talk and podium discussion on a subject related to young contemporary and urban art In addition to the presentation, the experts and facilitator will invite the audience to participate in a Q&A session and will promote further discussion and interaction with speakers at the borrel after the presentation.
28.6.2013 Paint Club Battle • Dutch finals Two teams battle for a ticket to Kosmopolite Paris 2013. Their weapons: markers, ink and a canvas The “Paint Club Battle Tourâ€? is a unique artistic live-painting competition involving several teams of designers, illustrators, street-artists and painters. Each team will create a large canvas within the 90 minutes time-line towards a given topic.
