31 August – 4 September 2014 Trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) during the first week of September ended up for all leading share indices

TA-25

Share Offerings

The TA-25 index increased 1.4% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 7.1%.

This week there was only one share offering, amounting to US $2 million, by a biomed company. Since the beginning of 2014 the business sector raised US $1.7 billion through share offerings on the TASE, similar to the amount raised for the whole of 2013.

TA-100 The TA-100 index increased 1.7% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 6.5%.

TA MidCap-50 The TA MidCap-50 index increased 5.2% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 0.8%.

Government Bonds The Ministry of Finance (MoF) made a public bond offering listed on the TASE amounting to US $0.2 billion. Since the beginning of the year the MoF raised US $11.2 billion in bond offerings on the TASE, after raising US $18.2 billion for the whole of 2013.

TASE launches options on the shares of "Bezeq" and "Perrigo" On August 28 the TASE launched options on the shares of “Bezeq” and “Perrigo”. These options join eight options on shares already traded (Teva, Poalim, Leumi, Israel Chemical Industries, Mizrahi Tefahot, Discount, Ratio, Avner), that were launched since the beginning of trading in share options in 2009.
