Employee turnover is the total number of people with whom you have parted company in a set period of time. We use the company’s size as a scale to judge the rate of turnover. For instance, if 5 people leave a 20 person firm, that means a high rate of staff turnover. If 5 people leave a 10,000-person company, then that company has extraordinary staff retention practices.
