How Busy Women Look After Their Reproductive Health

For women who work full-time careers, it can be challenging to both take care of and deter reproductive health concerns. With more women employed than ever before, fewer and fewer have the time to visit their doctor and discuss their reproductive health. At the USA Vascular Centers, we understand the need to maintain a full-time career as well as a busy lifestyle. Since opening our first practice, we have perfected and modernized minimally invasive non-surgical procedures to resolve reproductive health issues in women. From out vascular surgeons in Illinois to procedures and vascular surgery in New York, we are continuing to expand our service and expertise to women across the country! To better serve you, we have compiled a few ways our procedures help treat and maintain a healthly reproductive system in women.

First, for women who suffer from blocked fallopian tubes, we perform the non-surgical procedure Fallopian Tube Recanalization (FTR). FTR is an in-house clinical procedure that takes no more than thirty minutes to complete. For women who want to become pregnant but cannot due to damaged or blocked fallopian tubes, FTR is a possible solution. Your vascular surgeon reopens the blocked fallopian tube but inserting a small metal wire via a catheter into the tube. Contrasting dye is used to visualize flow within

the tube before and after the procedure. Within two hours following the procedure, you will be released home with little to no complications.

Next, women who suffer from uterine fibroids may receive our Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) procedure. Performed as an outpatient procedure and finished within 90 minutes, UFE is a safe and effective treatment option for uterine fibroids. While most women who develop uterine fibroids are between the ages of 35 and 43, they can impair the ability to become pregnant and have a healthly pregnancy. Similar to most vascular surgeries, UFE located the blood source of the tumors, destroys it, then removes the fibroids individually. This not only assists in removing the fibroids but prevents them from returning.

Finally, women who experience severe, chronic pelvic pain or painful menstrual cycles might be at risk for Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. To combat PCS, our vascular surgeons perform an embolization procedure. Like varicose veins, veins located in and around your pelvic and uterus can become blocked, causing pressure and swelling. PCS Embolization is simple, out-patient procedure that’s performed in our clinics by one of our vascular surgeons. Your surgeon will locate the blocked vein and cut off its blood flow, allowing the pressure to reside and the vein to turn into scar tissue. Within days following the procedure, you will notice your symptoms to deter and lessen.

The stress of work, life, and families can keep women from seeking the professional help they need for their reproductive health issues. At the USA Vascular Centers, we are committed to diagnosing and treating any number of vascular reproductive health issues. Whether you are searching for vascular surgeons in Illinois, needing to schedule a vascular surgery in New York, or just want to consult a vascular specialist, we are here to help you!
