Today we look at pelvic congestion syndrome treatment and nonsurgical treatment for blocked fallopian tubes. Minimally Invasive Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment The most common, and effective, treatment option for pelvic congestion syndrome is pelvic vein embolization (PVE). PVE involves a combination of foam sclerotherapy and placement of a series of inert metal coils into the affected veins. The coils help to close the vein, preventing pelvic vein reflux, as well as any associated pain or other symptoms. The procedure is minimally invasive, and your doctor will perform it using local anesthetic. When dealing with pelvic veins, most often with women, open surgery or laparoscopic surgery is not very effective. In fact, both can lead to painful complications in many cases. We prefer a subtle approach with fewer risks and often far greater results. Nonsurgical Treatment for Blocked Fallopian Tubes While there are numerous surgical options for unblocking fallopian tubes, there are just as many natural and nonsurgical remedies available. We recommend systemic enzyme therapy, which can help your body clear itself of any excess tissue that may have led to a blockage. It can also dissolve scar tissue, cleanse your blood, and increase circulation of blood to and from your reproductive organs. Enzyme therapy involves using systemic (naturally occurring) enzymes to help your body stop inflammation, reduce pain, and prevent scar tissue. Systemic enzyme therapy is incredibly promising for patients uncomfortable with surgery, as it helps the body to heal itself. As blockages occur, they can cause scarring of the fallopian tubes, which often leads to lasting damage. But the process can be reversed with systemic enzyme therapy. Scar tissue is comprised of a material called fibrin, and proper treatment can help dissolve this material and heal the affected areas.
