Literacy for a LifetimeTM is a grant matching program partnering Educational Development Corporation (EDC) with schools, businesses, and foundations to support local educational institutions. Reach for the Stars!!

Reach for the Stars!! is a generous pledge-based reading incentive program, designed to bene t schools, classrooms, clubs, preschools, church groups, home school groups, School or Organization Benefiting Reader’s Name Grade Parent’s Phone # charities, businesses and public libraries. The goal of Reach for the Stars!! is for participants to read My Sponsor Sheet Parent’s Signature Parent’s email Teacher My Pledge Goal $ Parents, would you like to be added to an Usborne Books & More mailing list? Sponsor’s Name Phone # eMail Pledge Amount Pledge Collected or be read to for 300 minutes over a two week period, thus developing a reading routine and receiving Usborne and Kane Miller books for bringing in pledges.

An interest in reading and learning is stimulated by lavish illustrations and informative content. There are over 1800 colorful and fun titles covering activities, puzzles, and a wide range of subjects for readers of all ages. Here’s how it works: Step 1 - Accept the challenge Read or be read to for at least 30 minutes a day during this program. Step 2 - Sponsor Sheet Ask your family and friends to support your reading by sponsoring you. Step 3 - Reading Journal Log your reading time in the squares on your Reading Journal. Step 4 - Book Order Form (Wish List) Turn in your Book Order Form, sponsor sheet and money collected in an envelope.You can do it! Learn to love reading! Your books will arrive approximately 3 weeks after the Reach for the Stars!! ends. Enjoy all the new books you will earn! AND EARN BOOKS!!
