What Color is Culture? Cultural Awareness Week ►January 9-15, 2012 The Multicultural Ministries Department will host a variety of activities throughout the week at the Central Territorial Headquarters, including the Wednesday chapel service at 9:30 AM and the monthly luncheon on Thursday at 12 noon.. Check the THQ Bulletin each day for real time information.
However, corps and service units may choose to celebrate this day anytime during the month of January or at another time of the year.
Multicultural Ministries Seminar ►February 22-23, 2012 This is the annual meeting of divisional Multicultural Ministries Coordinators and Committee members.

Leadership Training for Multicultural Ministry ►February 22, 2012 9:00-3:00 PM at THQ The Leadership Training occurs on day one of the Multicultural Ministries Seminar. Our guest facilitator is Patty Lane, Director of the Office of Intercultural Initiatives of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the author of “A Beginner’s Guide to Crossing Cultures.” Patty is known for offering insights on cultural differences, and helping individuals to understand their own culture and a framework for understanding others. Participants will learn skills to develop and nurture cross-cultural relationships in the church, community, and other areas of life.
Cultural Awareness Sunday is traditionally held the Sunday prior to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
