IRB for SDSU/USD Joint Doctoral Program SDSU and USD work together to approve your study. As a student in the Joint Doctoral Program you are responsible for the following: 1. Go to http://gra.sdsu.edu/research.php?areaid=2&sectionid=10&subsectionid=19 to begin the submission process. You must complete the SDSU virtual IRB process in its entirety. Plus: a. You must identify yourself as a SDSU/USD joint doctoral student. b. 2. Additionally, you must submit the USD IRB cover sheet – along with a hard copy of your initial SDSU IRB protocol to the USD Doctoral Programs Office after you secure the signature of your chair. The program assistant will then facilitate obtaining the remaining approval signatures. This should be done as soon as you complete your initial submission to SDSU. The copy of the protocol you submit with your cover sheet will remain in the USD School of Leadership & Education Sciences. All edits to your submission will be communicated to you from SDSU. However, the USD IRB office needs this cover sheet to complete your approval. 3. Notification: You will receive email notification from each IRB office upon approval. Contact Information: 1.
