Burt Bacharach is behind one of the greatest American songbooks of the 20th Century and a legend of popular music. He has won 6 Grammy Awards and 3 Academy awards with over 70 top 40 hits in the USA and over 50 top 40 hits in the UK.
He has recorded music with many successful artists such as: Cilla Black, Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Gene Pitney, Frank Sinatra, Jack Jones, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Dusty Springfield, Elvis Costello, The Carpenter and more. People can join this masterclass in melody with feel good songs and breath-taking performances from West End Vocalists and great musicianship of The Magic Moments Orchestra. Tributes have been paid to Newark and Sherwood District Councillor Michael Brown who has sadly passed away.
Mr Brown was a Conservative member and represented the Edwinstowe and Clipstone Ward since he first joined the authority in 2019. He had also been an Edwinstowe Parish Councillor since 2015. Newark and Sherwood District Council Leader, Councillor David Lloyd, said: “It is with much sadness that I learned of the passing of Councillor Michael Brown. Michael was a devoted member who worked tirelessly in serving the people he represented. My sincere condolences go out to Michael’s family.”
