DoorDash Project in Joliet Falls Apart

What used to be Aaron’s Furniture and Appliance is now home to a banquet hall, The Royal Palace Event Centre. The old Aaron’s Furniture and Appliance building was bought last September by John Bays and he is now looking for another tenant to fill the remaining vacancies.

The empty space was to become a DoorDash Essentials location for delivery of food and liquor products, but no longer came to fruition. Joliet had approved a Class C liquor license for DoorDash back in late September 2022, as part of the company’s plans to expand across the country. Joliet would have been one of several test markets for DoorDash.

The property now displays a window sign advertising that the 8,000 square feet property is available.
