Good or bad Artificial Intelligence (AI) is definitely a reality. And Artificial Intelligence films show how this futurist concept has changed more than ever before in our daily lives. From classic Big Assembly machines to supercomputers with incredible operating systems to human-style robots, the consequences of this century have changed our lives incalculably and, given the rate of these developments, it’s safe to say ‘we’ve only seen the beginning. Smart machines that can serve (or destroy) humanity are as old as Samuel Butler’s 1872 novel Eruhon, and last week’s Westward episode. So, if you really think about it, we haven’t even made 100 movies about AI since the first AI movie, Metropolis, started in 1927 until 2018. There are only 96 movies on its name (yes even counting Star Wars and Transformers) and the implications of the growing interaction between people and machines on the big screen are still far away. From stories that focus on how AI has become an inexpensive source of labor, like the inevitable upside to kill ourselves to further reflect the implications of today. Therefore, if you take some time to delve into the philosophical and ethical implications of AI, like Lee Wannell’s 2018 sci-fi horror film upgrade, and really think about what this constant effect between humanity and technology is, the fundamental characteristic of any self-respecting. thankfully most artificial intelligence films. Because we are so passionate about films set in the future, we decided to create an endless list of AI films that span decades, reflecting the ever-changing spectrum of our https://medium.com/@usmsystems23/11-artificial-intelligence-movies-youll-definitely-love-to-watch-d26dd794fce2

emotions, especially as a technology lead lady. We have created: 1. Metropolis Let’s start at the beginning, and Fritz Lang’s 1927 epic Expressionist Sci-Fi is not such a great start. With groundbreaking visuals (for its time) and time-tested storytelling, the film is influenced by this: From Blade Runner to Black Mirror, you can see the echo of its ideas in almost every content you create. But why? Mainly this is the first serious sci-fi film, which not only gives the most sophisticated machines to watch (it has changed our collective vision of what the future looks like), but also the social interpretation of the implications of human interaction with the machines, our attitude towards many upcoming real and inertial AI creations Inspiring and shaping. 2. 2001: A Space Odyssey Fast forward to 1968, and the HAL 9000, the epitome of the “evil computer”, decides to kill two astronauts because of its self-described inability to conceal the true nature of its mission. ‘9000’ computer has ever made a mistake or distorted information ”. HAL can be clearly remembered by its half metallic, half-human voice and its unlinked red eye. Ironically, his failures, his unwillingness to explain his actions, his reassurance of meaninglessness, his fondness for gentle reproach, and his inability to be completely dissolved gave him a strangely human-like feel. In the end, we ask ourselves if he is like us… even when we know that he has no emotions. While the film does not detail how HAL works, HAL is considered by many to be the best example of AI in film. But, of course, we are far from a kind of artificial intelligence, so we can make it slip. 3. Blade Runner One of the most influential films ever made about artificial intelligence is Ridley Scott’s 1982 action-packed film, which takes a glimpse of how the Artificial Intelligence merges https://medium.com/@usmsystems23/11-artificial-intelligence-movies-youll-definitely-love-to-watch-d26dd794fce2

with society to another level. Either by protecting it or destroying it or sometimes both, have given new meaning to the genre. The film asks how much of a human being it must be before the robot deserves the same rights. Replicas of the film are bio-engineered, they are identical with humans (which are certainly obscure in most serious AI films), and even more so, through false memories that can be set up as an “emotional cushion” that they also believe is human. Talk about very complex and interesting AI characters! One thing is for sure; Whatever the future of AI, it will be very neat and inseparable… human. The film completely blurs the line between man and machine, creating a haunting vision of what happens when people insist on playing God and creating an unforgettable classic. 4. Terminator We have a lot of unforgettable AI creations in just one series, from the classic T-800 model to the horror Skynet AI software that launched “Judgment Day”. If we could only choose one manifestation of our collective fear of technology, then James Cameron’s Artificial Intelligence would be it. This is the future of oneness, where an unstoppable AI sends out human disguised hitmen to kill us all because hell is about to destroy humanity. A cautionary tale has become a classic that leads to our most basic discomfort about AI, and that concern lies in its ultimate form. The thing is, even though Skynet is the darkest focus of AI, Terminator offers a more optimistic look at the same movie. So even though we can’t escape AI, the idea of coding to help us stay in our minds. 5. The Matrix The terminal mimics the Terminator to T, but this installment is ultimately the VS. Humans are a unique feature of their villainous AI, Agent Smith. This pitiful and lonelyminded AI is not only doing what he has inherited in his programming, but humanity seems to be bothering him almost irrationally.

The film never describes (almost) hatred, but, even though the machine takes on human form, the differences between him and humans are very clear, and not just because of the constant disregard for the idea of maintaining a monotony. Ultimately, the presence of Agent Smith as sentimental software is a good moment to remind everyone that AI is not always hardware… and that this is not really a good idea as a reminder that humans are dangerously dependent on artificial systems. 6. A.I. Artificial Intelligence Here the robot-child who has given his family a test of their ability to love wants nothing more than to be a real boy for his “mom.” The almost melodramatic fairy tale adventure is a perfect example of machines that exhibit no real AI features. The biggest drawback of this film is that its intelligence is equivalent to the emotion of the phone. Not spoiler alert. People may think that if there is any intelligence, it can cause feelings and hurt, but intelligence is not humanity. So, although some robots are trained to detect human emotions through sensory cues and respond to the ways in which they are programmed to these sources, people should not be confused by this. And, while there is some certainty in the idea that a humanoid robot is programmed to do a certain thing, no robot will ever experience love again. However, the film started a new era with the love robots in AI cinema that somehow overlooked it. 7. I, the robot The film has two main AIs: Sony and VIKI. Sonny constantly throws subtle hints about the hidden humanity in him, which is a perfect companion to the protagonist but does not fully grasp the reality of Asimov’s stories. On the other hand, like Skynet, VIKI is a rebellious and very dangerous supercomputer, the difference is that VIKI’s logic does not turn on her to defend herself, but because it is a priority for the interests of society, this robot genuinely believes that it can serve humanity only by ruling it. Isaac Asimov’s Laws of Robotics, widely discussed in this book (pretty loosely), inspired the film, a concept that helps us to articulate how humans resist their creation. stipulate that any robot, in importance, should not harm humanity, disobey man, or harm himself. 8. Wall-e Pixar Studios’ 2008 animated film is the story of a cute little robot that makes us fall in love with it again. With the premise of a lone garbage-sorting robot, the task of clearing the earth, by 2805, only his kind remains. After getting sentimental and keeping himself alive on the spare parts, the robot ends up in space after falling in love with another robot called EVE. There he finds a space-cruise filled with very sick humans, and with the power of will (usually reserved for humans), and the discovery of a small plant, the poor population of the cruise is brought back to Earth. The film continues the trend of sentimental and emotional AI, but it is still becoming a classic. 9. Robot & Frank The robot here is a unique hybrid among the other AIs we discussed on this list. It is programmed to do a single thing, to improve Frank’s lifestyle, and not on breaking moral codes (stealing and lying) to do so. It uses human expressions with a metallic emotional tone and resembles a man without looking like a man. In other words, Hollywood is close to what the developers have actually come up with. When we begin to bond emotionally with the robot, it gives us a good look at Frank’s agony, as we have discussed above, only interpreting the data and being completely incapable of returning such feelings. Frank’s growing affiliation with the robot is entirely credible, but it always puts logical self-awareness about the lack of humanity. 10. Her This 2013 cult classic also explores the idea that humans can be paired with AI-enabled technology but suggests that AI does not have the ability to replicate those emotions. Here, AI’s relatively infinite knowledge and its excellent processing capabilities create conflict as it handles multiple conversations and relationships at the same time.

11. Ex-Machina AI does not want world domination here, and it does not operate under fundamentally defective programming logic. It wants to include only the things that humans do. The history of the representation of AI in films seems to have its own astonishing mind, and its passion for basic human freedoms is not so common. The plot is simple, when a young programmer thinks he has fallen in love with the AI he needs to perform the Turing Test, hell breaks loose. The idea of AI being created is completely wrong: the idea of being created by a lone genius in a high-tech lab is absolutely ridiculous (AI is slowly being created by entire teams). But the film raises an important question: Are sentiment AI’s predictive concepts always manipulative to mimic human emotions? At the end of it all, the computer system may somehow be self-aware and decide that we have to be completely destroyed or ruled out because we can’t take care of ourselves, which is a common trope, but in real life all the AI attacks we’ve suffered for so many intimidating things.
