Faculty Council Activities Launched The first meeting of the Faculty Council was held on February 6. The role of the council includes providing a forum for discussing matters pertaining to faculty. The membership is designed to represent the diversity of the faculty at the level of departmental affiliation, roles in the mission, gender and credentials. The Faculty Council is described in the COM Bylaws. The current roster of the council: Chris Burns (Biomed), Carolyn Glaubensklee (Biomed), Ati Hakimi (Clinical), Aurelio Lorico (Clinical), Jaya Pamidimukkala (Biomed), Norton Roitman (Clinical), Ken Rosenthal (Biomed), and John Ryan (Clinical). The officers for the chair, vice-chair and secretary were elected, with Drs. Glaubensklee, Roitman and Pamidimukkala respectively in those positions. Applying the Roseman Model to the Medical Program Faculty have been working on a "white paper" that will articulate the application of the Roseman Mastery Model to the delivery of the four-year medical program. Each "hexagon" of the model is being addressed by defining each principle in the pre-clerkship and clerkship years contexts, commenting on the implementation and expected outcomes in the pre-clerkship and clerkship years.

New Items in OAA Library Faculty are welcome to consult and borrow items, such as AAMC publications and medical education-related books. One new item is "Creating significant learning experiences", by L. Dee Fink.
