GOOD NEIGHBOURS FOR A MOTHER IN NEED

It is easy to stigmatise my neighbour and so, in the process, marginalise my neighbour. It then becomes easy to forget or even deny that the stimgatised person is my neighbour. Saint Paul tells us ‘There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus’ (Galatians 3: 28). In the Church, there ought to be no divisions created by ethnicity, language, social status, occupation, gender or sexuality. How do we create new barriers in our parish, diocese, church or neighbourhood today?
