World Without Borders -

national social educational GCDP project that aims activating leadership among Ukrainian pupils by giving them an opportunity to interact with students from all around the world, to get knowledge about leadership, youth activities in other countries, cultural education, to become more open-minded and to improve their English skills.

1st week  Project opening. First lesson. a) Short explanation about project, concept, flow of the project, organizers and partners of the project b) Presentation of expected outcome of the projects, development of 5 competencies c) Competency test 

Proactive learner – formation of positive attitude, enthusiasm about learning, active participation in learning, accepting challenges and integration process;

Duration: 1 lesson for 90 min Objectives: - show possible ways of learning - draw connection between personal characteristics and learning methods - show examples of learning throw action, learning throw discussions, working in groups - give overview of modern tools and instruments of learning, learning online Outcome expected: Children are motivated to learn, open to new information, interested in further flow of the project, asking questions

2nd – 3rd weeks  Global Mindset – development of the ability to understand, relate to and respect the culture of other people, accept differences between cultures, show openness and respect towards other cultures; works effectively with individuals of diverse cultures a) Country presentation. Duration: 45 min Objectives: - basic facts on geography, climate, history etc - Traditions, way of life, interesting facts about the country. - Essential phrases on different languages - Most common stereotypes about their country of origin and why these stereotypes are right/wrong - Presentation should be somehow visualized (country presentation ppts, maps, traditional clothes, pictures etc.) Outcome expected: Children get to know a lot about different countries, cultures, traditions. b) Cultural Understanding: Duration: 90 min Objectives: - Show possible examples of cultural misunderstandings - Get children into other cultures and behaviors (ex. albatross game) - Self-reflection as Ukrainians, finding out Ukrainian cultural features Outcome expected: Children understand that there are cultures, which are totally different and people should respect each other and show tolerance towards others.

4th week 

Emotional Intelligence - development of ability to feel, use, communicate, recognize, learn from, understand and explain emotions, demonstrating respect, empathy and appropriate behavior towards others, adjusting to different situations and personalities;

Duration: 2 lessons per 90 min Objectives: - Concept of Emotional Intelligence explanation, connection between EQ and success in life - Understanding of emotions, role of emotions in our life - Understanding of own emotions, nature and origin of what we feel - Understanding of levels of EQ - EQ test - Build connection between overview of cultures to EQ and attitude Outcome expected: Children understand role of emotions in their own life, they analyze all information they got before from emotional side, they learn to feel other people and other cultures, not just take it as information, they have understanding of attitude as one of the most important things in life

5th week  Social responsibility – formation of understanding of an obligation to act to benefit society at large; Duration: 2 lessons per 90 min Objectives: - build understanding of SR and it’s importance - show example of SR attitude - explain what does it mean to be social responsible and what actions children should take - build connection between personal attitude and socially responsible attitude Outcome expected: Children know how they should act and behave in order to be socially responsible, they understand that society is important and they should feel and behave to benefit society at large

6th week 

Entrepreneurial outlook - development of ability in coming up with and implementing new ideas, taking

risks and finding innovative solutions. Duration: 2 lessons per 90 min Objectives: - Who is entrepreneur? - skills of entrepreneur, what is difference between ordinary person and entrepreneur - provide practical overview of skills, give activities around effective communication, negotiation, presentation skills - build connection between attitude and action - get children into action, create small project and help them in realization (ex. Create and try to sell something – hand-made things, own talent, whatever else) Outcome expected: Children motivates to be entrepreneurs, they understand it from emotional and socially responsible side, got overview of skills they need to develop and eager to continue education and selfdevelopment.

 School competition (optional)  Closing event: a) Competency test, evaluation of results b) AIESEC presentation as way to continue development of children c) Sharing of interns, participants, school teachers, who took part into project d) Greetings, certificates for all participants
